VILA NOVA DE CERVEIRA, ART AND NATURE
The Youth Hostel of Vila Nova de Cerveira, built in an old primary school, is ready to welcome you so you can explore the ‘Village of Arts’. Famous for the Modern Art Biennale, which takes place in odd years and attracts a large number of Portuguese and foreign artists, Vila Nova de Cerveira has become a permanent open air exhibition hall.

Put your backpack on and set out on a discovery: go to Rei Cervo, at the top of the mountain, enjoy the local gastronomy, visit the Aquamuseum and explore the botanicals trails of the biological park located next to the Hostel.

The staff at HI V. N. Cerveira were welcoming and helpful as soon as we arrived, and were even kind enough to swap our rooms for a better view of the town. The rooms were clean and well furnished, with towels and soap provided and notices about environmental water use. Loads of info for us about the Camino route, surrounding area etc. Great location to square, and very good breakfast provisions - especially for the price! Would recommend and stay again ourselves :) thank you!

The hostel is very clean, comfortable, a hotel atmosphere. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The breakfast has a large selection food to choose from. I highly recommend this hostel.

Fabulous! The staff is professional & very helpful, greatly appreciated! An excellent & ‘fresh’ breakfast is served from 8:30-10 am. The village is very close, a wonderful place for traveling artists! I highly recommend this hostel to all.
