We allow guests ages 18-45! Outside of that range we reserve the right to refuse stay at the property.

Prime Backpackers Angel is housed in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Angel, Islington.

Our aim is to create a space where travellers can experience the fast-paced excitement of London, while also enjoying a safe, relaxed environment to unwind, recharge, meet like-minded people, and share unique experiences.

We are just moments away from the bars, restaurants, and nightlife of Upper Street and Shoreditch, and only 150 metres (a 5-minute walk) from Angel Underground Station, which connects you to the best of London in minutes.

Angel is one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods — right on the edge of the city centre, yet still maintaining a strong local community feel.
Islington has been home to reformists and change-makers for centuries, and behind its elegant façade lies a rich cultural history. The area is full of local attractions that offer a different side of London beyond the usual tourist hotspots.

Guests can enjoy:

We do not have a bar on site, but you’re welcome to explore the many local pubs nearby or bring your own drinks back to the hostel. We regularly host social events, including movie nights, games evenings, and shared dinners.

For your safety, we offer 24-hour security and CCTV. Lockers are available (please bring your own padlock), and luggage storage is provided on the day of arrival and departure.

⚠️ Please note: The building is nearly 200 years old, so there is no elevator — consider it a free workout!

Check-in: 15:00 – 24:00

Check-out: before 11:00

If you arrive after reception closes at 12:00 AM without arranging a late check-in, you may be considered a no-show, and your reservation may be cancelled with applicable charges.

No refunds in case of cancellation

Standard Rate

The first night is charged at the time of booking

Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in

Refunds apply only to bookings cancelled within the free cancellation period

In certain circumstances outside your control, we may offer to postpone your stay, subject to the Hostel Manager’s discretion.

If you do not arrive, or cancel within the cancellation period, the full stay will be charged.
Once you have checked in, no refunds are payable.

General Information

No curfew

Reception open 8:00 am – 12:00 am, seven days a week

Late arrivals must be arranged in advance

Guests under 18 years old may only stay in private rooms and must be accompanied by an adult.
The maximum stay is 14 nights per guest (not per reservation). Any bookings exceeding this limit will be cancelled.
