Location is 5 stars, very short walk to san Marcos square and water taxis. Climbing 3 flights of stairs was expected so keep your luggage to a minimum, the doors to the building and hostel seem to be always open ( security lacking). I room was double bed with private ensuite, it was very small about a foot on each side of the bed, no air conditioning and it had not been renovated, with opening window for air flow really need mosquito repellent. No tea/coffee facilities or fridge.

I really liked our stay. We were so close to San Marcos Piazza. The rooms were made everyday which was a nice touch. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Alvise even called me after his shift to ensure my taxi to the airport was all set.

This hotel was perfectly located, right next to the square. It was easy to go shopping and drop stuff off at my hotel before heading back into Venice. The stairs were a lot. BE AWARE- the balcony is not accessible to guests. It’s attached to a private room that only staff can use. That’s the reason I booked this place and was very disappointed. The room is also very very very small. There is about 8 inches from the wall to the bed.
