Belmar Isla Mujeres is a Colonial style hotel, with restaurant and cafeteria, located in the heart of downtown Isla Mujeres, on the main pedestrian avenue, Hidalgo Avenue, a couple of blocks from the north beach and two blocks from the Plazoleta de las Letras.

Belmar is located near the Ferry Pier, and most beautiful beaches like Playa Norte and Playa Centro.

The hôtel is located right on the main street, it's a central location but that makes it very noisy. We stayed 5 nights. The first there was a big party right below and we couldn't sleep the whole night. In the morning I asked to change rooms to not be on the street but they assured me that it was a one night thing. The other night they weren't parties but the restaurants stop the music at midnight and start it at 8am. So if you want to get some proper rest this is not ththe place.

Not much in the way of facilities as it's just a bunch of rooms above a restaurant. But location, value for money, and friendliness of staff at front desk was nothing to complain about at all. Would stay again.

I stayed in a private ensuite and I think i was the only tenant. Its basically an old, cheap hotel not a hostel. The only staff I saw was when I checked in. Anyone can walk up from the street and the lock on the door is basic. However, I had no issues. The location is smack dab in the middle of the tourist part of town. Despite my room overlooking a restaurant, it was quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower had hot water, A/C plus ceiling fan.
