This is not a hostel, it is a hotel. The hotel is very nice, the AC is great. The hotel sits away from the ocean and faces the lagoon, which gives an amazing view of the sunset. Being away from the "beach" makes it a little quieter. My one issue was that the walls were very thin and I could hear people at around 23:30 having conversations on the pool deck, which is out of the control of the hotel. I feel this is budget friendly for a backpacker but I wouldn't stay here over one night. The bed was thin and hardly cushioned. The bathroom was super small with a makeshift shower head . There was no safe to lock my items and the restaurant there was closed for my whole stay kf 2 days. On the good side the staff was friendly and the air conditioning was strong.

Budget room, but very clean. Strong AC and hot water (tip for anyone not used to the three taps, hot is left, cold is right, middle on/off). The location is very central, more than I imagined it would be when I booked. Great sunset views from the terrace. Cute pool area. Peaceful nights sleep. I visited in low season and the other guests that I encountered were mostly older American travellers, rather than young backpackers, but this tended to be in line with who was in the bars, restaurants too
