I was pleased to have an option for a hostel at all in Liberia. However, this hostel is not competing well with others in Costa Rica for comfort and ambience. While secure, our room was hot like an oven, with three fans that helped little. We were eaten by mosquitoes. The beds appeared to be made from old pallets and were very loud every time we moved. The hostel is run by a family and was very clean. We overheard one of the guys living there using a derogatory term for MSM.

Good hostel for a one night stay. Unfortunately they did throw away food I was keeping in the fridge which is a little upsetting.

The 4 bed dorm is so small you can barely enter and leave the room. There is no AC and they use fans to compensate, but expect 85 degrees inside. There are also no outlets near the beds, so don’t expect to charge your electronics in preparation for traveling the following day. The staff were not able to give me any information about how to get to the airport for my morning flight beyond there should be a bus. Very little care went into designing the facilities and it shows.
