Pros: Facilities were modern, staff was friendly, subway was close by, snacks/water always available Cons: Stayed in a private dorm -Doors are heavy/loud, so you can clearly hear people as they come/go. It would be helpful to have a doorstop to keep the bathroom door open, especially as there's no bathroom fan. Recommend adding a tiny nightstand or a shelf above the bed for your phone or glasses. Found 2 dead bugs in the room and saw some in the stairwell. Breakfast is included but very basic.

Big picture, this was a perfect solution to a last minute stay in Brooklyn. The location is FANTASTIC. Social life within the hostel was a bit to be desired. No planned events or gatherings, but that wasn’t major for me. The bathrooms need more regular cleanings. Every time I went into the bathrooms there was no hand soap, no body soap, no shampoo/conditioner. I get that most people bring their own, but don’t advertise that they’re available when they aren’t stocked.

Awesome option for budget-conscious travelers to New York. All the facilities are clean and modern and you get a lot of perks staying here, including free breakfast and laundry. The main drawback is its location: the immediate neighborhood is a little rundown, so I would only recommend this location for experienced travelers who can handle neighborhood that is a little rough around the edges. The hostel itself is extremely safe and welcoming though.
