Tabi-tsumugi is the small backpackers hostel opened in January 2011.

It is a good base for solo traveller and small group who enjoy one's own style travelling.
10min walk from JR Kutchan station and main town.

Skiing and snowboarding in winter, trekking, cycling and farming experience in summer -- there are endless opportunities for different activities here!

Great place to stay in the summer! Dorms are roomy, and everything is very clean. Ryo, the owner, is so kind and will give you a ride to the Mt Yotei trail head in the morning. Enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend!

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. it's small and cosy with a good atmosphere, clean facilities and comfy beds. Ryo (the owner) offers lifts to the mountain trails in summer, so you don't need to rely on the infrequent public transport. I hope to stay here again!
