Located in a beautiful town called Quintana del Castillo, surrounded by amazing nature, located near the Villameca reservoir, capital of the municipality of the same name since the end of the last century, in the interior of the province of León.

Rooms available with single beds and with separate bathrooms for each, with hot water. A cozy living room with TV and dining room with shared refrigerator. A terrace so you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the forest. We have free indoor and outdoor parking. In addition, we put the laundry at your disposal. About 200 m. away is the local store. You can use the WiFi.

In our beautiful house you can have a quiet and peaceful stay. It is located in the middle of unspoiled nature, of unique beauty, full of extensive and beautiful forests, where you can experience its closeness and relax by taking short walks or long hikes, thus enjoying its wonderful natural environment. Nearby, about 10 minutes on foot, you will see a small but beautiful lagoon with ducks and other birds of the area.

With a warm and cool climate you will want to take a trip around the area, having just 20 minutes walk to the beautiful Villameca Reservoir whose waters come from the Tuerto River, a tributary of the Órbigo. You can get there by bicycle and it is also easily accessible by car. This place is perfect for spending a quiet day picnicking in nature, taking a refreshing dip in its warm waters or practicing some water sport, such as paddle surfing.

You can enjoy beautiful river beaches just a few minutes from here, with clean and crystal-clear waters, such as the one found in Sopeña de Carneros, in the Tuerto River plain, in the direction of La Cepeda. In El Bierzo, the Cacabelos beach and in Vega de Espinareda. If you go a little further you will be able to see other river beaches in paradisiacal places nearby.

In Quintana del Castillo, hiking is one of the best activities to enjoy and admire its landscapes. The hiking routes are endless. The best known and most popular is El Camino Francés, the Camino de Santiago route par excellence, whose itinerary is the most recognized worldwide and with a long and ancient historical tradition of the Camino de Santiago, where most of the medieval hiking and pilgrimage routes meet.

Another hiking route itinerary that starts and ends in Quintana del Castillo is visiting what could have been the town of Sencil, the source of the Pega River, its reservoir, the Quintana refuge, known as Casa la Griega. Another highly recommended route to do at any time of the year is from Quintana del Castillo to Murias de Ponjos then to La Utrera to the current limit between La Cepeda and Oumaña. Then a mandatory stop at the San Feliz de las Lavanderas viewpoint and back to Quintana del Castillo.

The most enjoyable activity is to do the routes by bicycle, being one of the best ways to discover this region. The most popular route is the route from Quintana del Castillo to San Feliz de las Lavanderas, which runs through Astorga. There is also a bike route that you can take starting from the Villameca reservoir and Quintana del Castillo, which is a 64 km circular route from Quintana.

Another very exciting activity is to embark on a journey on two wheels, on a motorbike, travelling along the vast, majestic and extensive routes from our rural house. Routes that become a perfect canvas of unspoiled nature, mysterious forests, endless fields, for an adventure that is more than epic. You can travel along the winding motorways and roads that cross fields of an intense bright golden colour, with rolling hills, giving you a journey full of emotions and unforgettable discoveries, as well as filling you with a wealth of medieval history, impressive architectural beauty and delicious gastronomy.
