DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!! I had a horrible experience at casa rupilio and I do not wish this upon anybody. The room was filthy, there was an active gas leak causing a strong smell, the bedding was decades old, the bed was broken, to name only a few things. We left after one night and were demanded to give 50 euros cash, it made us (two women travelling) feel unsafe. Please check the reviews on tripadvisor and dont make the same mistake I did!! I cant believe Hostelworld is accepting this.

We booked a room with en-suite bathroom. This option doesn’t even exist at this place. There’s one shared shower for all rooms and even that didn’t work. There’s no A/C in the room, only a broken ceiling fan. One of the beds broke down the moment I sat on it (I’m not a heavy woman!) They call themselves bed&breakfast but all you get for breakfast is coffee. And there’s no kitchen. The terrace is disgustingly dirty, all the furniture there is old, broken and filthy. Stale smell everywhere.

The two brothers were very friendly and accommodating, providing us with a number of fresh towels, breakfast and coffee in the morning, and offered lots of advice of where to go and what to see. A really great value for money stay in the centre of Taormina!
