Place was easy to find and nice location. But rooms were a bit dirty and dusty. Shared bathrooms were a bit grimy with the mould in showers but it is a hostel. Our room smelt of new paint but they didn’t have another rooom for us to move into which was kinda a shame cause was quite a strong smell. Rooftop is nice but closed before 8:30pm.. overall not sure I can recommend but the location is good on a nice street and staff were really nice.

Very nice stay. But our room had mould in the ceiling which was a shame. The hall also smelled mouldy. In the showers you saw mould. As it is very moist there it is probably hard not to get mould..

We were really looking forward to our stay at La Smala. However we were bitterly disappointed. When we walked into the room you could smell the dampness, and there was no way to air out the room. Red mould/ bacteria was growing across all of the walls. Then we found a mass of bugs on one wall and some in bed, around 50 bugs, possibly bed bugs. When we couldn't change rooms we asked for a refund and they eventually gave 40% back. Very dissatisfied with how the staff dealt with the situation.
