Silver Fern Backpackers

I stayed just for one night. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly. However, cleanliness was an issue. While my room was relatively clean, the bed linens had hair on them. Also, there was no fan or air conditioning, just a window. The kitchen was very dirty, no space in the fridge, everything disorganized and messy. On the positive side, the price was great, and the location was excellent, so it’s good for budget travelers. Overall, I recommend it. I give it a 6/10.

I’ve stayed in a few hostels, often budget ones where you can overlook an uncomfy bed or the facilities aren’t great but this hostel truly is the worst I’ve stayed in. Both overpriced and a terrible place to be. The only good thing I can say is the guy behind the desk was chill. 90% of the people I saw in there were pissed old men and a literal schizophrenic woman screaming in the bathroom. The facilities were disgusting and the beds were stained and you couldn’t even close the curtain. 0/10

What a strange experience. Very dirty throughout but also had a lot of mold in the bathrooms which I am extra sensitive to. Some older characters living here.
