Majority of the staff were super friendly! Shared areas (kitchen, bathrooms, showers etc) were very clean. Facilities were decent, plenty of room in the kitchen. Only downside was the lack of storage in the rooms. Everyone had their suitcases squished in a tiny room. I had asked about luggage storage but the reception staff said there wasn’t room. Not ideal and a tight fit in a small room with everyone’s bags but we managed!

Great place, awesome location. I was last here prior to it being bought by haka. It is still very much the same place, a slightly quieter hostel just outside of downtown. The only bad thing is the stupid automated check in machines. Those are useless.

Nice location with a beautiful 10 minute walk into town. Big kitchen and cozy living room area. The lockers in the rooms are huge so can fit a lot of stuff. Just some notes for the staff there: need to clean under bunks, under mattresses, and dust on top of lockers. Kitchen towels are old and thin and don't dry at all. Comforter covers are too small for duvets so the unwashed duvets stick out which is really gross. The large amounts of people using kitchen in evenings means it gets gross fast.
