Welcome to Tarbi’aat Tetaoun44, hostel and youth-oriented cultural center in Tetouan! Our building is a historic treasure, with a construction dating back to the end of the 16th century. This house was associated to the Ghailan family, a reigning family at the time, the house still retains all its artistic architectural elements. It’s is a courtyard-style structure with four semicircular columns and a central fountain, influenced by the smoky architecture that the Moriscos brought to Tetouan in the 17th century.
Our hostel is situated near the Merinid Kasbah, which dates back to the 13th century AD, making it the perfect base for exploring the rich history and culture of Tetouan. We are proud to welcome travelers from all walks of life, we are bike friendly, we also welcome digital nomads and artists looking for a residency.
At our hostel, we offer much more than just a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We also organize cultural events and musical performances of local genres, providing guests with an authentic and unforgettable Moroccan experience. We also have access to a network of local artisans, tour guides, and everything a guest require.
