(Solo female traveller) I arrived at the incredible Thamel Grand Hotel after a sweaty tiring day of travel. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful (Bramit, Mr. Alam, Dinesh Tharu). They even helped me with a booking snafu. Most importantly, the room was impeccably clean and comfortable. The water was hot, AC functioning, and wifi strong. It's a 3 star hotel but there are things in the room that are too old, a little broken, with dirt stains. Not like a 3 star hotel level. In my room the water only had mildly warm water. In another room there was boiling water. The service representative in the morning named Corona was always very kind and nice and helped me with everything I needed to do in the area which is very important!! The service representative who works in the afternoon was not helpful and also forgot things.
