I can’t emphasise enough how amazing the people who work here are. It’s two brothers who run the place (I think) and they really make you feel like part of the family. Always laughing and joking with you, making sure you’re ok and nothing is ever too much hassle. They helped me and my friends with organising day trips, taxis, local cashpoints (free of charge), they offer surf lessons and I f you order off the menu it’s all cooked fresh for you. Everything feels so homely! (recommend the Tagine)

Hostel is OK. Staff were a bit pushy asking me to pay upfront for a taxi for the next day. Never had this experience before in my previous 6 trips to Morocco. It was all resolved in the end and hopefully we all learned from it. Please note that even if you think you’ve reserved a bed and paid already with hostel world this hostel does require you to complete the transaction with cash upon arrival. This was my first time in Anza and it does seem like the beach is used by more locals than taghzout
