A travel-loving family in Calcutta started Calcutta Backpackers Homestay to offer an authentic Bengali Homestay experience to travellers and backpackers coming to Calcutta or Kolkata. The City is often termed the 'City of Joy' characterised by the blend of Old and New and often described to be a city where 'modernity has gone wrong' that dearly clutches on to its nostalgic past.
Calcutta Homestay offers a simplistic stay in a quiet, unhindered neighbourhood with good access to all key areas of the city, including a subway line that's a roughly 12-minute walk.
We offer Bed and Breakfast, where our guests can enjoy a hearty freshly cooked breakfast and tea every morning or unwind on the terrace in the evening. All rooms are Fan rooms without Aircon but include a hot shower and Wifi. We offer advice and guidance from buying sim cards to how to go about planning the city tour to our guests during their stay.
