Only real hostel in Praia. We offer private and shared rooms. We are in a very safe and diplomatic area of Praia. We are only a few minutes walk to the most popular beach, Quebra Canela.
There are also restaurants, bakeries, bars, clubs, banks, grocery stores, and parks nearby.
We have two more hostels in Tarrafal and Fogo as well. Stay with Meeting Point, where you will connect with locals and tourists alike!
Meeting Point Hostel - Quebra Canela Beachwalk Policy and Conditions:
Cancellation policy: 24 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 15:00 to 00:00.
** Check-ins after 00:00 may be subject to a late arrival fee and must be pre-arranged a few days in advance. Send us a request email with your flight number and expected landing time. Late arrivals are not guaranteed. If you arrive late and were not pre-authorized to do so, you may find yourself without access to the accommodation AND your card may be charged a late cancellation/no-show fee in the amount of one night's stay plus tax. FYI, we check FlightRadar24regularly but are not responsible for this information.
Check out from 07:00 to 11:00.
*If you do not see a receptionist at the front desk, please leave the key on the front desk. Forgetting to return your key will result in your card being charged 1000 escudos or 10 euros.
Payment upon arrival by credit and debit cards. We do not accept cash. To guarantee this reservation, you must provide Hostelworld with a valid credit card number including CVV code. Any reservations that are made with incomplete credit card information, may be subject to cancellation/denied entry by the hostel.
Taxes: 276 escudos (2.51 euros) each person/day not included but payable upon arrival
Breakfast is not included in the standard rate and is subject to availability. It is an additional 550 CVE (5 euros) per person, per day and must be pre-arranged the day before. Breakfast may not be provided on-site and may be contracted out to a local vendor. The hostel is not held liable for the quality/service from these vendors. Breakfast is not refundable.
General:
This is a hostel for tourism, not immigration or residence. We serve tourists only not those who seek to/or are residing in Cape Verde. If you are looking somewhere to stay long-term or are not forthcoming with information, you may be denied accommodation/reported to local authorities.
No curfew BUT this is Praia, a capital city, and as safe as our neighborhood is, have some street smarts. Also, we are not always staffed 24 hours. Ask your taxi to wait for you until you get inside the door. Do not leave the bottom door open or hold the door for anyone you aren't familiar with. Do not walk around with your phone out.
