This hostel is in Sao Felipe, Fogo which is the biggest town on the island of Fogo. The hostel is located in the neighbourhood of Achada Sao Felipe and is a very short walking distance to the longest black sand beach on the island, Praia de Fonte Bila.
The hostel is a 10-minute walk into the center of the town and the adored Igreja Nossa Senhora da Conceiçao.
The neighbourhood is known to be very safe and the hostel is surrounded by other hotels/resorts which offer much higher prices for private accommodation. There is also a small mini-market steps behind the hostel.
This is indeed a volcanic beach refuge where you can hear the waves crash from the living room and see a magnificent constellation of stars at night! Book now for your individual or group reservation!
Keep in mind if you plan to hike the volcano, no collection/mini-buses are coming back to Sao Felipe after the morning. So if you plan to hike the volcano in the morning or afternoon you will have to sleep there and return the next morning. The hostel is not responsible for refunds due to lack of transportation. Please plan accordingly.
