The hostel isn't large, but the owner clearly put a lot of thought into its interior and cleanliness. As a newly built hostel, the mattresses are comfortable. The staff and owner are friendly. While it might be a bit tricky to find if you're using Grab, just turn onto a small alley and you'll find a convenience store, restaurants, massage, and a morning market all within walking distance, making it convenient.

I stayed at Kotta Hostel for two days during my trip to Jogjakarta, and it was my first time staying in a hostel. I was a bit unsure at first, but it turned out to be a really nice experience. The bathroom was clean, and so was the bed. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming, and they gave me helpful recommendations on where to eat and where to go around the neighborhood. My only small complaint is that the bunk bed was very shaky, especially when the person sleeping on the lower bed moved aroun
