There was no staff on site. Doorbell does not work. Calling the hostel by phone we were instructed to sent copies of our passports to some whatsapp number, only then would we be granted access to the building (even though we already reserved). Via whatsapp we were asked to create a Revolut bank account to pay the rest of the bill, then we got access codes for our dorm. A guy lay passed out drunk on a sofa in the dirty common area. Noise wise: The dorm was situated above the terrace of a bar.

It was okay. I would not stay here again as a solo female traveller. The hostel rooms are mixed-sex with upwards of 10 people in a room. There are no staff on-site, which made me nervous in case of an emergency. I also had some issues with insects.a The owner of the hostel was INCREDIBLY nice, though, and I appreciate his efforts towards curating a positive experience. The common area is great and the kitchen is beautiful. I wish the showers had a bit more privacy, but they were clean.

Great hostel in Sofia! Staff were super friendly and gave me great tips on places to visit. Rooms were clean and well kept with complimentary towels. Huge lounge and spacious kitchen made it easy to cook. Showers had good water pressure and privacy. When I was staying there the washing machine broke, but the staff had it fixed within an hour. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Sofia.
