Great location near a bunch of restaurants and food spots, in walking distance from most of the main attractions (then again Tainan is quite small). The hostel has a big kitchen/ common space but it was almost empty when I was there, it didn’t seem very social. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. They also have laundry facilities which is great!

So long as you don't mind windowless rooms (which can be a plus in Tainan - no mosquitoes, at least) then this is a great hostel. Do need to take a bus to most tourist things, but only about a 10min walk to the bus stop so not the worst. The communal area is definitely the highlight - good for getting some work down or chatting (but only if you come with people you know as it's not particularly social).
