Kalkedon Hostel provides fresh and clean facilities and safe, affordable accommodation. A guest can choose male, female or mixed dormitories. Kalkedon Hostel offer sheets, blankets and a pillow. Each floor has shared showers and toilets. Some of the rooms have a private WC and some have balcony with city views. Free WiFi is available. Also, Kalkedon Hostel has a beautiful historical building with its surprising secret garden.

Ideal for a one-night stay, but I wouldn’t recommend staying any longer. The location is fantastic, right in one of Kadıköy’s best neighbourhoods. The staff are friendly and helpful, but most of the guests are middle-aged or older workers rather than tourists.

Temiz değil. Ama güvenli. Benim gibi temizliğe orta seviyede önem veren biriyseniz bile hiç temiz değil. Bakın hijyenik felan demiyorum sadece temizlik konusunda çok daha güzel olabilir. Tuvalet kağıtlarını da ücretli yapmaları hiç iyi olmamış. İnsan mutfağa da bir bakım yapar. Çok ülke gezdim (69) çok hostelde kaldım daha kötüsü yok mu evet var ama Kadıköy e bu olmamış. Ortak kullanım alanlarımız da daha düzenli ve temiz olabilir.

You need to pay to breathe in this hostel. You need to pay for toilet paper, lockers (you cant even use your own locker), to put things in refrigerator… Whatever you can think of, you will need to pay for it. There was mold in the room. Staff is very friendly and the location is great but everything else is not great.
