Kalkedon Hostel provides fresh and clean facilities and safe, affordable accommodation. A guest can choose male, female or mixed dormitories. Kalkedon Hostel offer sheets, blankets and a pillow. Each floor has shared showers and toilets. Some of the rooms have a private WC and some have balcony with city views. Free WiFi is available. Also, Kalkedon Hostel has a beautiful historical building with its surprising secret garden.

The base price is low but they will try to charge you extra for everything, even for toilet paper and using the fridge.

Would recommend if you are looking for flexible / short term volunteering opportunities and a good location in Kadikoy. Heity and Yildiz are friendly and welcoming, they cooked for me and offered an English teaching volunteer opportunity. However facilites, cleanliness, and atmosphere were not up to par so I did not feel comfortable staying here. People smoke in the dorms, no toilet paper (u have to rent it), and bad smells, tiny and dirty kitchen.

Dünyanın çeşitli ülkelerinde onlarca hostelde kaldım ilk defa bu kadar kötü bir hostel deneyimim oldu. Odalar ve ortak alanlar çok pisti. Çoğu yer bakımsız bırakılmış ve onarılması gerekiyordu, odalarda klima yok ve pencerelerde sineklik yoktu tüm gece sivrisinek ısırmalarıyla geçti uyuyamadım. Burayı kesinlikle önermiyorum
