Really neat hostel, very nice facilities, the kitchen was clean and organized. Everything that I needed was there. The host was very kind and welcoming. Pretty garden/terrace as well. Downside was that I didn't feel like I was really in a backpackershostel so it kind of lacked some backpackersvibe. Good for some peace and quiet though! The hostel has a great view on the bay and you can park your car for free (unlike the other hostels in Wellington, alongside the street though).

The property is a gem, really, you have everything you need, you're almost on the beach the moment you step outside, and you can go to wellington easily by train or by car. The place is tidy and clean. BUT BE CAREFUL, there are long stay customers, some really annoying, some being thieves, some even being dangerous (ex convicted)... And the boss does nothing, he knows about the problems but doesn't take any action... So if you want to try your luck, book there but be prepared.
