Overall, I would not stay here again. The mattress stank of urine. The place is a real mess, the kitchen and communal spaces are like a hoarders house and haven’t had a deal clean in what seems like years. I love animals and I know there are many homeless cats and dogs around and it’s lovely that the hostel lets them have a home there, but they are not well kept and smell bad. The cats go to the toilet in the garden which is right where everyone can see.

The hostel has a good location. However, the bathrooms were very very dirty and there were lots of cockroaches in the room. The cockroaches were on our bags and beds. We did ask the staff for help but there was no one who could help around. Also not many social areas.

Nice staff. Great location. Ac doesn't seem to work and their bar/party spaces were not being used. But gorgeous building, murals, and balcony. Right in the center of all the action on santa teresa with the selaron stairs and tram close by.
