Guesthouse Soi

Guesthouse Soi is a family running guesthouse by a Singapore-Japanese couple, avid travelers who’s everyday lives are deeply involved with the guests.

Our guest say they have a feeling of home. If you are curious to see local people’s house, and you need a tidy and comfortable rooms, our place will be your best choice! We have many types of rooms according to each traveler’s different needs. Most of our rooms are traditional Japanese Tatami (woven-straw) floor rooms, and they are for you to try special local experience. Our rooms are suitable especially for families and groups. Reasonable dorm beds are also available for individual backpackers.

We are located in Higashiyama, one of the best preserved historic districts in the city. Easy access from/to Kyoto station and city center (bus all day), and some of the main scenic areas in walking distance. Our guesthouse is in a quiet area along the lower slope to the eastern mountains, good environment with university, museums and luxus hotels nearby.
