Very happy with my stay at Elbrus. The breakfast is great, served with a smile and very fast. There are many nice terrasses to use, and a nice garden. It's calm and quiet, not a very social hostel-feel', although chances to meet people in the dorm. Would stay again

Just outside Thamel, this is an excellent place to stay in Kathmandu, whether you're a first-timer or a return visitor. The atmosphere varied a bit, but as always that depends on the people who happen to be staying at any given time. That said, it was never unfriendly in any way. It could do with a couple of more bathrooms for the dorms in the annex. Top marks allround for a friendly, enthusiastic and helpful host who will sort our your every need if you let him.

Good value for money! Friendly staff, sentral location, quiet compared to its location, good and basic breakfast, clean and nice enough rooms. Quick and good laundry service. Bit could water in the shower during afternoon, and only one operating power outlet in our room.
