Nestled just 1.5 km off the Trans-Canada Highway and 20 km northwest of Golden, BC, Mountain View Cabins offer a true escape into the Canadian wilderness. Unlike the bustling hotel zones of Banff, Lake Louise, and Golden—crowded with traffic, train noise, and tourists—this secluded retreat is deliberately isolated to give you space, silence, and serenity. Set against the majestic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and with sweeping views of the Purcell range across the valley, the cabins are surrounded by open pastures and thick forest, providing a raw and rugged (not just rustic!) connection to nature. Designed for independent travelers, the property requires your own vehicle for access, with directions clearly marked from both Golden and Vancouver. Whether you're arriving on a winding gravel road or taking a snow-friendly detour via Blaeberry School Road in winter, the journey is part of the adventure. Please remember: there are no stores nearby, so stock up on groceries before arrival if you plan to cook or use the BBQs—Golden is a 20-minute drive away, and this off-grid getaway is meant to feel far from it all.

Mountain View Cabins Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 72 hours prior to arrival. In case of late cancellation or no-show, the first night of your stay will be charged.

Check-in from 3:00 PM.
Check-out until 11:00 AM.

Payment on arrival with credit and debit cards.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included.

General:
Our bunkies have a single bunkbed, 2 camp chairs, a 5 gallon water container and wash bin plus candle lanterns. They are rustic and intended for the backpacker crowd looking for a less expensive alternative to the high priced hostels in Banff and Lake Louise. There is an outhouse (pit toilet). Sleeping bag, blanket and pillows provided. 2 guests maximum. Price is for the bunkie, not per guest.

Guests must have their own vehicle as transportation is not provided. The property is in a remote mountain location with limited access to stores or services. Guests are encouraged to purchase groceries before arriving.
