It　is　a pleasure to welcome　you to SHIMIZUYA RYOKAN.Our ryokanhas over a 160 years of history.

We are located in the center of town , just a few minutes walk from the Zenkoji temple(the main sttraction in town),and a 20 minutes walk from the JR Nagano station.
From Nagano station,you can take a taxi(5minutes),or abus for 100 yen a person.

We have single rooms ,souble rooms,and rooms for 3 and 4 persons too.
Regardless of the type of room you are staying, the price in always the same per person.Not per room.

The facilities were great, the atmosphere was really nice and cozy, like you are sleeping over at someone's house, and the staff is friendly. However, upon checkout the price we were asked to pay was double the amount quoted on Hostelworld, so watch out for that.

The place was really really amazing. Since it is a ryokan it is a bit more luxurious. The couple who works are some of the nicest most caring hosts we have ever encountered. They always had hot water ready for us to prepare tea and the room was great super comfortable and very homey. The location is great in front of a bus stop that takes you straight to Nagano Station. 100% recommend this place.

Owners are very kind people and don’t miss the breakfast! The best in Japan!! You stay it’ll be better if you know Japanese, because owners speak just a little bit of English, but there’re very gentile :)
