I spent two days in Ouarzazate. The first night, I stayed at another hostel in the city and didn’t enjoy it. However, the second night, I stayed at Dar Widad Ouarzazate, and it was by far the best choice! The hostel is cozy, and the team is incredibly friendly. They welcomed me with a drink, provided clean towels, and even offered free use of the laundry. I absolutely loved my stay here—it truly reflects the genuine warmth and hospitality of Morocco. Mohamed welcomed me with Moroccan mint tea and snacks.The hostel is exceptionally clean, with access to fresh towels. The shower is spacious, spotless, and stocked with shampoo and shower gel. The atmosphere at the hostel is cozy and welcoming, offering a genuine Moroccan experience. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. As a vegan, I appreciated that Mohamed prepared a variety of vegan options for me. I highly recommend Dar Widad Hostel to anyone.

Small hostel with a very friendly and helpful host Mohamed. He gave me good tips on how to get to Ait Ben Haddou by shared taxi, restaurants and we talked a lot about football. He let me use the washing machine too. The hostel itself is quite basic. Showers and bathroom are clean. The lockers in the dorm don’t work really well. The host does not stay in the hostel at night and since I was the only guest one night, I was alone in the hostel.
