Train Hostel HOKUTOSEI

HOKUTOSEI, a limited express sleeping car train, was loved by many people, but disappeared due to the discontinuation of the service. With the cooperation of East Japan Railway Company and JR East Urban Development Corporation, we have been able to come up with the idea of reviving “HOKUTOSEI” as accommodation.We will support your trip with the new start of our train hostel, HOKUTOSEI, as a base of the trip for Eastern Japan.

There are dormitory type rooms (bunk beds and semi-private beds for one-person) which adopted the actual parts of sleeping car to furnish and decorate the interior in order to create a particular atmosphere in the limited space.

・Free locker is available in the guest room for you to secure your valuables
・There is a washroom in the guest room
・There is a shared kitchen on the 2nd floor, and you are welcome to use the dish, glasses, kitchen utensils, seasoning, fridge, etc.
・There is a shower room and laundry machines on the 6th floor, and shampoo, body soap and hair dryer are available for free.
・Each bed is provided with a pillow, mattress, thick blanket, a pillow case and two bed sheets
・We provide optional services as below:
