Past or Tail

As a female travelling alone arriving late I didn’t feel comfortable in this hostel. It was all ok but door was locked at about 11.45 pm, had to ring. Was a bit unsure as on a quiet street. Eventually a man let me in who was sleeping behind reception. All a bit odd. Kitchen was ok, could make tea. Bathroom clean enough but didn’t use shower. You get what you pay for I guess. I chose a shared dorm, which I won’t do again as felt uncomfortable although all was ok.

The place is terrible, to be honest I paid for my night but ended up not staying there and booked a night at a hotel Overall looks super shabby, very unclean, the staff was not friendly at all and did not explain anything, bed seemed dirty and had almost no facilities Do not recommend, I would only stay here if I had nowhere else to go. Look into airbnb rooms or on booking since there are only 2 hostels listed in the platform in Larnaca and they are both apparently bad

I’d look for an alternative. My room and common spaces everything was worn and stained, and I’m not particularly fussy. The atmosphere among staff and tourists alike was subdued at best, grouchy at worst, with no one making eye contact or starting conversations. Information—about buses, places to eat, etc.—was given grudgingly and was usually incomplete. English spoken by staff was rudimentary—I’m not faulting anyone for this, but it’s worth knowing. Maybe it’s different at other times….
