I really enjoyed staying in the hostel speakeasy Fes. The place is easy to find, just beside medina. There is a hot water and social space as well as breakfasts every morning. Said, person responsible for hostel is very helpful, welcoming and friendly. On my departure he took me even to the taxi place. I notice that he always reply to messages he receives form guest. Thank you for a great time together.

Fantastic hostel with exceptionally wonderful owners. 10/10 would come back, I really doubt any hostel in fes can top speakeasy Fes. It is budget friendly & family run, so do not expect 24/7 reception service. The family is genuinely wonderful though in keeping things running and make every guest feel at home. Thanks to the laid-back and boutique like setting it was by far most social hostels I came across in my Morocco trip, ideal for solo travellers of which there were quite a few.

My stay at the Speakeasy Hostel did not go as planned. While the staff are very helpful and kind, I was put in a small room that was not featured in the photos, the bed was on the ground, I could not stand up and it was extremely hot, both nights of my stay were so hot that I could not fall asleep until 3 am. It is also hard to relax or unwind after a chaotic day in the medina as there were screaming children running around for many hours. The owner is very nice and kind, but I was disappointed.
