I'm guessing this place received such high reviews under previous management. The check-in process is ridiculous and took us over 20 minutes. The poor (and lovely) man on reception having to rely on a ridiculous automated whatsapp page to allow us access! The keycode system is also unnecessary and frustrating; every time someone enters or leaves a dorm room the electronic buzzer lets out a really loud and unnecessary alarm (yes, all night). Would choose another well positioned, cheap hostel.

On paper it’s a really nice hostel, location is good just a shame about the noise, the rooms are not soundproof at all and we were being kept up every night. You can hear everything that goes on around you, very frustrating. The door lock was also really temperamental and hanging off the hinges.

Room wasn’t exactly as described, there was loads of hair in the drain and only one shower/toilet for 10 people. The door is right next to the beds so constantly getting disturbed as people come in and out, staff were coming in and out late at night and early in the morning, not the best experience. Staff were friendly and helpful though. Also, don’t get a duvet, just a little blanket. Lockers are outside which isn’t very helpful.
