Mina Grande Beach Cottages

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSTEL!!! Once we got there they said they are fully booked and suggested we cancelled the booking since they didn’t want to help us. After two hours of arguing they moved us to a shed in a backyard in some other Inn next door (which was HORRIBLE). We got one final night at the cottage. The staff working there are not service minded at all and it all just seems like a huge scam.

Really disappointed in this property. The water that came out of the tap was dirty, the toilet smelt of faeces, the shower was basic. The staff were not interested in providing a good experience and were hostile to discussions about the room. They were unaware of the booking, then asked me to pay the whole invoice in cash despite me already paying a deposit online. Only when I showed them the proof of payment did they accept that I had already paid a portion. Avoid if possible.

These have just been renovated and are lovely little homes to stay in for your time in el nido. The rooms have Wi-Fi, temped shower, beds and a mini fridge. The cottages are still basic but provide you with all you need and for a very good price. They will clean and tidy your room whenever you desire. Have free clean cold and hot water, plenty of outside communal space and cheap beer available to buy. The cottages give you a real family vibe with the owners living on site.
