This is a great hostel. Volunteers and owners were extremely welcoming and helpful! There is a great area for hanging out and meeting people. The volunteers are also very invested in making the hostel social. Only downside was the bathrooms in the dorms. The showers could use some updating in the 5-bed dorm. Besides not being able to hang the shower, the thing to turn the shower on was also missing. The bathroom lock was also not working.

Had an amazing time at Hostel 23 in Las Terrenas! Great location in the town and the vibe as relaxed or as social as you'd like it to be. I met some amazing travelers and the staff and owners were incredible as well. There won't be any shortage of things to do or people to meet while you're there. It's truly a unique hostel experience that I can't not recommend to anyone who's going to be in the area. If I'm ever in the area again, I will stop by for sure.
