Aruba backpackers is the preferred stay for low budget adventurous travelers who like hiking, mountain biking, camping, body surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing, diving, and ATV riding, long as short overnight stays.

The property is around a 11-minute walk from Surfside Beach, 0.6 miles from Renaissance, and 1.6 miles from Druif Beach. The accommodation offers private check-in and check-out and organizing tours for guests.

Our Backpackers Cabins, are more comfort than just a tent, specially equipped for world travelers who like to enjoy the warm weather and the fresh breeze of the Caribbean.

CANCELATION POLICY:
Standard Rate / Deposit only (20%)
You may cancel for free 168 hours (7 days) before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

None-refundable rates with 20 % deposit
The none refundable remaining balance must be done by a money transfer through Western Union and must be paid 2 weeks prior to check in date of your reservations done after February 19th, 2026
We will send email with an Invoice with all details to do the transfer 21 days before check in day.
If we do not receive the transfer 14 days prior to your check in date your reservation will be canceled.

GENERAL
This property does not have swipe machine all payments at the property are cash in US dollars or Aruban Florins exchange rate 1 US $ = 1,79.
Canceled booking 168 hours before arrival, your deposit will be refunded to your payment card and your balance will be send back to you through Western Union, transfer charges on behalf of the guest.
If you cancel within 168 hours, your deposit will not be refunded and the total of the first night’s accommodation will be charged and the rest will be send back to you through Western Union, transfer charges on behalf of the guest

A Standard Rate/ Deposit only (20 %)
1.Payment of the remaining balance should be in cash at the property in US$ or AWG. We will send you an invoice with all details
2.Tax is not included in the price, We will do the TAX adding in the invoice
3.Any other invoice that isn’t related to the booking needs to be paid in cash at the property (example beach rentals breakfast dinner electric charge)
4.Security and damage deposit US$ 100 is paid cash at check in for Standard /Deposit only rates (20 %).


None Refundable Rates
Your booking can be canceled for free,if you cancel 22 days prior to check in date,, your deposit will be refunded to your pour payment card and your balance will be send back to you through Western Union, transfer charges on behalf of the guest. If you cancel 21 days or less prior to your check in date your deposit will not be refunded and the reservation cost of the whole reservation will not be refunded.

1.Payment should be done between 21 up to 14 days before Check in date.
2.Tax is not included in the price, we will include this with the remaining balance that needs to be paid through Western Union
3.Any other invoice that isn’t related to the reservation needs to be paid cash at the property example beach rentals breakfast dinner electric charge)
4.Security and damage deposit US $ 100 is paid cash at check in and released in cash at check out
5. Your booking is none-refundable, If you choose to cancel your booking, or in the case of a no show, you will still be charged the full cost of your booking.

Failure to make payment
Aruba backpackers will send the guest a request to make payment with the payment details provided in an email. Payment must be done within 24 hours of receiving the invoice for the remaining balance plus Tax. If payment is not received your reservation will be canceled.

GENERAL
We do cleaning, technical inspection and inventory control at check in and at check out
Guest will receive clean and organized room at check in
Guest need to leave room clean and organized at check out.
We do not accept passport as security deposit.


CHECK IN WINDOW from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
At check in we will provide you the inventory and house rules
Arrival for check in after 6:00 PM additional US $ 20
Arrival before 2:00 PM example; moving from your hostel to our location you may use a locker shower and refrigirator at a cost of only Usd 15

CHECK IN procedures.
Please have the following on hand:
1.Reservation
2. Passport
3 Have a copy of your ED card
4. Bill payment in cash / We do not have ATM or swipe machines on property or close by
4a. In case we do not have change in Usd we will give you change in Aruban Florins AWG
5. Security Deposit paid in cash at check in / return in cash at check out
5a. We put this in an envelope and return same banknotes at check out.

PAYMENT:
We only accept Us dollars or Aruban Florins,
We do not accept 50 or 100 USD bills
We recommend traveling with 1 5 10 20 Usd bills these are widely accepted all over the Island
Exchange rate is 1 Usd = 1,79 Awg

If you want to pay your bill at Aruba Backpackers we can accept one hundred dollar bills with the blue line in the middle.
At checkout we will return same banknotes to you

CHECK OUT WINDOW from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
One day before checkout INFORM your host what time he needs to check you out

What to do at check out
(a) Throw white garbage begs from kitchen and toilet into garbage bin outside the apartment
(b) Take all food out of the refrigerator and throw them in the garbage bin outside the apartment
(c) Do not leave dry food rice coffee sugar in the unit throw them into the garbage bin
(d) Leave kitchen clean wash pots pans and dishes
(e) Flush the toilet
(e) Put all your belongings outside your room

What are the things you don't need to do
(a) Make the bed
(b) Broom and mop the floor
(c) Take dust off furniture
(d) Clean the bathroom

Check out procedure:
1. remove all your belongings from your apartment
2. return keys
3. inspection
4. inventory control
5. receive damage deposit in cash

USd 10 Cleaning Kitchen POTS PANS and dishes
USd 5 Taking out garbage plastic bags from bathroom or kitchen
USd 20 for missing towels or damaged towels with stains from make up or aloe.
USd 20 for each missing key.
Missing or broken items in the inventory: each item has a different price..
Security, Damage & Cleaning deposit 100Usd in cash, this deposit will be given back to you at check out after inspection

In case of late flights you can rent a luggage locker and shower at a cost of Usd 10
and enjoy your last hours on the beach enjoying the7 sun turquoise waters and the Caribbean ocean breeze. You are not allowed to leave your luggage on property.
