I had a lovely stay for one night at The Cathedral Hostel, I would highly recommend this place! Everywhere was nice and clean, including the room itself and the shower and bathroom facilities. The staff were warm and friendly and the whole check-in/check-out process was quick and simple. I didn't use much of the common areas i.e. the kitchen and social rooms but I'm sure they were equally as great :)

Stayed in the 10-bed dorm on Calle Trapería. The hostel has a retro vibe—squeaky beds, vintage furniture, and zero modern frills (no personal lights or USB sockets). Fantastic location for the hostel, however it had a very strange vibe. Only 1 key code from the street to the building, and 1 for reception which is kept the same, and no codes or locks for the individual dorms, so didn’t feel that safe. Lockers in women’s room too small to fit a regular backpacking backpack (all the same size in my room). Renovations going on for most dorms so very noisy during the day. Also the man who works at the hostel was often yelling, and he there was some tension
