Single Fin Hotel & Lodge offers laid-back, beach and tasteful, it has it all. The hotel is run by a French couple. Arnaud grew up in this hotel ran by his father and after travelling all over the world to find the best surf, him and his wife Aurelie settled here with their daughter Mila.

Mimizan Plage – also known as the pearl of the Silver Coast – is actually made up of many beaches lining the coast of this resort-style town. Both the town and its beaches are split down the middle by ‘Le Courant de Mimizan – the river which flows from the ocean through to nearby Lake Aureilhan our hotel overlooks the river and ocean.

There are 18 rooms, all with private bathrooms and balcony and they share a large rooftop terrace and an open-plan living area on the ground floor with bar and restaurant facilities. The Single Fin Hotel & Lodge is a classic basque landaise home from the outside, but with bohemian comfort inside. Crammed with Scandinavian touches, big sofas, a huge fireplace and quirky treasures from around the world, its decor blends in perfectly in this region that loves its tradition.
