The Golden Eagle Hostel

100 meters from Kalvin square, in the heart of downtown Budapest, is the Golden Eagle Hostel. It is a small hostel in a large apartment in a historical building that once belonged to Countess Katalina Andrassy, who received it as a wedding present from her loving husband Count Mihaly Karolyi. She lost her property when the communist took over the power in Hungary and confiscated it. Besides its interesting past, our location is simply amazing: just 5 minutes walk to the Danube river (next to the Szabadsag or Liberty bridge), with the Gellert hill in front of it, and besides the central market (one of the most visited landmarks of Budapest), the pedestrian Street Vaci utca, we accommodate the bookings for the private rooms (singles, twins and doubles). The area has plenty of restaurants, 24-hour supermarkets, , bars, discos, coffee houses, etc. In a Word, you Will be in the epicenter of the tourist, gastronomic and cultural life of the city.
