Hi, we are Chandana and Bharat, a doctor and an advocate by profession, but forever travelers by heart. After tying the knot, we did what most newlyweds dream of and few dare – packed our bags, hopped on our Royal Enfield Himalayan, and rode across the length and breadth of India.

From the golden sands of Rajasthan to the lush greens of the Himalayas and vibrant beaches of Goa, we chased sunrises, shared chai with strangers, and collected stories under skies full of stars. But it was in Bir, Himachal Pradesh, The paragliding capital of India, where our hearts finally found a home.

Here, amidst the crisp mountain air and the call of adventure, we decided to turn our biggest dream into reality. That’s how “Social Monkey” was born, a backpackers’ hostel with a soul.

Not your typical hostel, Social Monkey blends the carefree spirit of travel with a touch of comfort and luxury. Think cozy bunk beds with privacy, boutique style private rooms, soulful common spaces, and a vibe that makes you feel right at home, whether you are a solo explorer, digital nomad, or travel tribe.

Our mascot is a cheeky little monkey, because we believe travel should be fun, wild, and a little mischievous. And at Social Monkey, every guest is family, every corner has a story, and every morning starts with a cup of coffee and a mountain view.
