About Liverpool

Liverpool, famous for its football team and for being the birthplace of The Beatles is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whether you plan on watching a football game, are a Beatles’ fan, are interested in the city’s history or are simply looking to discover “The Pool” – as the city is nicknamed – Liverpool will not disappoint you.

Hostels in Liverpool are peppered throughout the city, so if you are looking for accommodation in the city centre, close to the Liverpool Central Station or at a walking distance from the Anfield Stadium, you will find ideally located hostels. If you are travelling on a budget, you can find cheap hostels in Liverpool for less than £10 a night. And if you don’t want to spend too much money on food and attractions, note that some Liverpool hostels will provide you with free breakfast and activities.

The Baltic Triangle and Ropewalks are in the top 20 coolest neighbourhoods in the UK. Both are popular amongst young people looking for hipster food places and fun things to do. If you want to enjoy a park on a sunny day, head to the South of Liverpool.

Outside of visiting Anfield football stadium to support the Reds and going on a Beatles pilgrimage tour, there are many other things you can do in Liverpool, like visiting museums such as the Walker Art Gallery and the Merseyside Maritime Museum. You can also enjoy the different parks like Sefton Park or Otterspool Park, to name just a few. Liverpool also boasts great nightlife, with a variety of awesome bars and clubs like The Cavern Club and the Jenever Gin Bar. The city even has the coolest indoor golf course, the Ghetto Golf!

The city centre is quite compact so you can easily venture around on foot. There are frequent bus services to and from Anfield and the journey should take you approximately 15 minutes.
