You can start by exploring the Stortinget, home of the Norwegian government. Be sure to take advantage of the free entry to the Architecture Museum and the National Gallery every Thursday too. Head up to Grefsenåsen, a forested ridge on the north side of the city, to enjoy an amazing view of Oslo and take incredible pictures for your Instagram feed! Oslo is the Norwegian capital but it still has less than 1 million people, meaning it’s small and easy to walk around and explore. From the central station - Oslo Sentralstasjon - take the tram number 2, 3, 4 or 5 to get to Stortinget, or walk for around 10 minutes. Ask at your hostel reception about a day trip to the city’s natural surroundings.
