Great facilitiies and amazing staff. I had a minor injury while I was there and the staff were so attentive and got me all of the bandages and antiseptics that I needed to clean and dress it properly. The service was really above and beyond!
The location is good, although be prepared to walk up the hill as ubers sometimes drop you at the bottom of the favela. If they take you up, it's nice to tip them for doing so!
There is a great bar and fitness centre on the rooftop, massive plus!

Even though it was cool outside and the windows were kept open, the female dorm on the main floor got quite hot at night. There were small fans in each bunk but I was still sweating at night in a top bunk. It would’ve been nice to be able to turn on the air conditioning. Rented a towel for 10 reals but it was threadbare. There were 2 children who played games at full volume on their phones for 4 hours one day in the main lobby and directly outside the female dorm. Very annoying. Don’t recommend.
