1. I was very glad the beds had curtains that fully blocked off sight of the bed. Locking drawers and key card room entry were also great.
2. The room is on a main road about 5min walk from the old town. It was great to be that close to the old town, but the window did very little to keep out the very loud sounds of traffic. Bring earplugs.
3. Day staff woman was wonderful and had great English. Night staff guys seemed to be more interested in protecting their vodka than helping guests.

The hostel lost running water on August 29th preventing guests from showering and using the bathrooms. The issue continued through the 30th. I decided to book lodging elsewhere. While I understand that the water issue wasn’t the hostel’s fault, there wasn’t any contingency planning on the staff’s part and that made the experience all the poorer. I paid for two days lodging and requested a discounted rate for the days I stayed at the hostel but that request was denied. Don’t recommend at all.

There is a lift available, but it is not working when you need it. The kitchen is very, very dirty, and the fridge is also very dirty; it smells very bad. All of the bathrooms do not have any ventilation, which is why they smell very bad. The shower is not working properly in the bathroom.
