Our Bunk Rooms provide a great space for groups or families looking for a unique experience in the heart of Portland. Choose to stay in either a 4-bed or 16-bed shared bunk room with a common bathroom just down the hall (don't worry, there are plenty on every floor!).
LOCATION
We are only 10 miles from the PDX Airport and easily accessible via public transportation. You'll find KEX in an area packed with vibrant restaurants, some of the city's best bars, and plenty of shops to browse. Our 24-hour front desk staff is always available to help you plan your adventure in and around Portland. A minute's walk from the light rail, KEX is perfectly situated to traverse the city easily. Paid parking is available in a parking lot just 1.5 blocks away.
SHARED & PRIVATE ROOMS
Our rooms have something for every kind of traveler. Industrial-modern bunks in our shared rooms have privacy partitions, as well as personal power sockets, reading lights, storage bags, and a large sliding drawer to securely lock belongings. Bring a lock or grab one from us for $4. Rooms with ensuite bathrooms and private rooms are available as well. All 28 non-smoking rooms offer down comforters and pillows, organic bedding, showers, towels, daily housekeeping, and desks.
POLICIES (because we can't avoid them)
Cancellation policy: Please cancel 24 hours before arrival. If you cancel late or Do Not Show up, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
We have a maximum length of stay of ten (10) days.
Check-in from 15:00 to 23:00 (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm)
Check out at 11:00 am
Payment by credit card or debit card only, cash is not accepted. The provided card must be in the name of the guest and match a valid ID. Upon arrival, the card you provide will be authorized the full amount of your stay, plus $25 per night for incidentals (max $75 per stay).
15.3% Taxes not included
An amenity fee of $12/day for private rooms and $6/day will be collected at check in.

I came from the UK for the 1st time. I already knew about the tipping culture but I wasn't aware it was because of how low people get paid. I knew it wasn't great but not as low as like $2 an hour after I read about it after a bartender got really angry when I didn't tip. His money worries are valid and I'm sorry but it's no excuse to treat people like rubbish. I come from a different culture and I have a need for understanding of that. In the UK you get tips for going the extra mile. He didn't.
