Property Description
We offer new concept of hostel in Old Town in a luxurious building with numerous sculptures on the façade, rich in history, built in 1903 in the Jugendstil style.
Accommodation range from cozy private room with bathroom to simple mixed gender and female only dorms. We can accommodate 80 people in common 6, 8, 10 and 12 capsule beds. All have lockers and capsule beds with reading lights and socks. Linens provided. Bathrooms are ensuite or shared. Kitchen is fully equipped. Free Wi-Fi.
Blue Bird capsule hostel Conditions and Policies:
Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 15:00.
Check out before 11:00.
Payment upon arrival by credit cards, debit cards. The hostel may pre-authorise your card before your arrival.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included and not provided.
No curfew.
Non smoking.
Please note Blue Bird Hostel in Riga Old Town doesn't have 24hours front-desk.
Reception working hours are from 9.30AM-18.00PM.
In case if you will come after 18.00PM you will get self check-in instructions to your booking account on your arrival day.

- entrance to the hostel is THROUGH 'Breivings' restaurant, you will see big white labeled 'Bluebird' door
- there is a flag with 'Bluebird Hostel' name on the building
- Blue Bird Hostel in Riga Old Town doesn't have 24hours cleaning service, so please keep the area clean after yourself
- there is no elevator in Blue Bird Hostel in Riga Old Town
- please TURN OFF the lights after you leave
- please USE KITCHEN HOOD while you are cooking to avoid false fire alarm
- ALWAYS keep your keys with you until your check-out date, otherwise you won't be able to get in to your room
- keys are used ONLY for opening the door, the door closes automatically, there is no need to CLOSE the door with the key
- Big towels are for extra pay. Big towel costs 2 euro
- laundry is for extra pay. It costs 5 euro. Laundry is available from 10.30AM-18.30PM.
- it is not allowed to smoke in Blue Bird Hostel in Riga Old Town, otherwise you will be charged
- keys must be returned until 11:00, if you are planing to do an early check-out please leave the keys in the GREY post box on the third floor, post box is marked with the note 'FOR THE KEYS'
- you can leave your luggage after check-out in the common room on the third floor until 18.00PM
- the nearest parking to the Blue Bird Hostel in Riga Old Town is Jekaba Arkade Parking
- if you are travelling with bicycle, you can leave it in the Blue Bird Hostel in Riga Old Town on the second floor stairs

Despite calling the reception because I felt uncomfortable in my room with a very creepy roommate and them not answering their phone until morning, I enjoyed my stay at the property. Although it would have been nice of them to mention that they have no elevators and that the rooms are on the 4th and 5th floors. It was a bit challenging for people like me who have asthma. The property was very clean and the facilities were great. The location was also superb.

I had a great 2 nights in this hostel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only downside to this hostel is that they don’t put on events or create opportunities for tourists to meet each other which was a shame
