Summary of traveller reviews

LyLo Auckland offers a modern and clean stay with excellent facilities, including comfortable pods providing privacy. Its central location is ideal for exploring the city. Some guests find the rooms can get warm, and the hostel can feel less social due to its size.

great little spot. the staff in the hostel and behind the bar were fantastic (ash and Sammie were super nice and helpful). and you're not too far from the center. I would highly recommend staying here. the social side isn't the best so if you're solo traveling it might be best using the Auckland chat to meet people

The pod-style beds were excellent for getting over jet lag. The kitchen/diner is huge and well-equipped. The bar was showing the World Cup from early in the morning and there was a nice atmosphere all around. A possible security issue is that there is a self check-in and the entrance is open to the public during the day, so you sometimes get homeless people coming in and checking the free food boxes without being challenged.

A fantastic hostel! Well located and great facilities. The pub quiz was so much fun and showers and toilets were great too - there was even a hair dryer which was an added bonus. The only small thing was the rooms don’t have widows and the pods got super hot. Would definitely stay again though!
