We have a spacious common room with a large open fireplace and big Victorian-style windows that offer stunning views over the River Ness. It is a great place to meet like minded travellers, whilst enjoying all the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate you can drink!

*Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay in rooms with other guests. We do not have family rooms, only shared dormitories. Guests travelling with children are required to contact us before making a booking online, or we reserve the right to cancel the booking*
Our earliest check-in time is 17:00pm, and our latest check-in time is 02:30am. Guests arriving after 22:30pm need to let us know beforehand, so that we may inform our night porter. Reception is open from 8am to 12pm and from 17pm to 22.30pm. The hostel is locked 02:30am-08:00am and 12pm-5pm every day.
Due to extensive cleaning required during the Covid pandemic, we ask that all guests vacate the building between 12pm and 5pm. This allow us to fully ventilate the hostel and enables our cleaners to work safely. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Due to past experience we do not accept stag or hen parties.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I’m bewildered by the good reviews this place gets.
It is cramped, dirty and overcrowded. My room was in the basement and it smelled horrific, like mould. It was a tiny room with none of the basics like lockers, lights above the beds or even plug sockets. The showers are tiny with limited privacy and no shelves so my stuff was soaked. The common areas are nice but very crowded due to how many people there are. They also close the hostel between 12-5 pm.

Decent hostel but quite outdated. Surprisingly clean however had a musty smell throughout especially in the stairs. Hand towels instead of paper towels in bathrooms not very sanitary. Beds and duvets were comfy but only one charging board for the whole room. Most disappointing was being unable to check in until 5pm.
