Property Description
Sandbar Beachfront & Restaurant is a thrifty traveller?s/backpacker?s dream come true. Located in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, we are on the water and priced for even the most budget conscious. Our bar and restaurant will keep you full of pizzas and rum! We are Gold Standard!
We are located on the beach, a five minute walk to the center of town. We are in the Boca Del Rio part of the island named Ambergris Caye in Belize. Our island is a 90 minutes by boat ride from Belize City and is the main tourist destination in Belize. We are a 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes taxi cab ride from the airport. Go north from the airport until you get to the traffic circle and go right to the beach. Then make a left and we are the second property on the left.
Each bed comes with its own locker, privacy curtain, shelf and electrical plug! The rooms are on the second floor over our restaurant/bar. Air Conditioning is standard and free WiFi throughout. Common areas include hammock garden, large over the water deck with lounge chairs and courtyard with additional seating. Downstairs we have free bottle water refills, microwave and refrigerator for your use! We DO NOT have a kitchen for guest use.

This is a great hostel. I loved the pool area and the restaurant/bar was great - looking out over the sea with great sunrise views. The kitchen is smallish but good enough and the equipment was in good condition. The set-up here made it good for a solo traveller wanting to socialise.
I would highly recommend this hostel.

Solid place to stay in San Pedro, big lockers fit whole bag, nice bed cubbies with outlet and personal light, hot water (unless showering at peak use times) high speed WiFi, good kitchen with lots of appliances, cookware, etc. Would definitely recommend and come back 😊

One of my favourite hostels on my travels so far! We did however book a 12 bed dorm and ended up in a 14 bed. I’d also suggest bringing earplugs as the door/ lock system is very noisy when people are getting up throughout the night!
